Hannah Kiefer
Miss Virginia 2007
We are thrilled to have Hannah with us this year. Not only was she a wonderful Miss VA but she was also 3rd Runner-Up to Miss America 2008!!
Hannah Kiefer is a 21 year-old student at Hollins University in Roanoke. A native of High Point, North Carolina, Hannah fell in love with the Commonwealth on a college visit to Hollins. Hannah is the recipient of the Hollins Alumnae Recognition Scholarship, the Hollins Merit Award for Community Service, and she is a member of the Hollins Batten Leadership Institute. She is also a Hollins Ambassador – a spokesperson for the all-women’s college. Upon completion of her year of service, Hannah will return to Hollins as a junior where she is pursuing a double major in Communications and Psychology.
An accomplished ballerina, Hannah has danced for thirteen years with the High Point Ballet. She also studied with the North Carolina School of the Arts, the Pennsylvania Ballet at the Rock School of Ballet, and the Roanoke Ballet. She has performed various roles in the Nutcracker, including: Clara, Snow Queen, Dew Drop Fairy, and Sugar Plum Fairy. Hannah received a preliminary talent award for her performance to “Western Symphony”. In addition, she received a preliminary award in the Lifestyle and Physical Fitness portion of the competition.
Hannah believes strongly in creating healthy choices for teens with an emphasis on health habits, drug and alcohol awareness, character building, moral development, and abstinence. She has volunteered with numerous organizations and she is the Director of Abstinence Education of Virginia at Hollins University. In addition, Hannah promoted the Children’s Miracle Network and the “Right Decisions Right Now” program throughout her year of service.
Teen/Preteen/Little/Mini Miss Divisions Competition:

Chelsie Darling
Chelsie is the 22 year old daughter of Blaine and Cindy Darling, and big sister to eleven year old Trisha. She graduated with honors from Princess Anne HS and the Governor's School for the Arts, where she completed four years in the Musical Theater program. She has been actively involved in musical theater for 13 years and has performed all over the world including Las Vegas, Disney World, Nashville, Pearl Harbor, Carnival Cruise Lines, and Japan. Most recently, she was a featured performer at the 2007 Miss Virginia Pageant! Chelsie is an internationally recognized talent winner and has placed Top 5 at the International Cinderella Scholarship Pageant in Las Vegas. She is also the co-director for the Virginia Cinderella Scholarship Pageant. She has held many local pageant titles, including Miss Virginia Teen America 2003. Chelsie is currently studying Early Childhood Education and plans to be a Kindergarten teacher.
