For Teen contestants, essays should be two pages typed or written. All other age divisions should be one page typed, written or a picture. The committee appreciates creativity & attention to detail, but reminds participants that essays will be judged not only on the story itself, but also the ability to stay within the essay limits. We want to understand your service as well as how it has changed you & your community. This may be handed in the night of rehearsal (at the latest); preferably you can send it electronically by 11/4. Sorry, but no submissions will be accepted the morning of competition.
