Miss VA Princess Program

Purpose:

The Virginia Princess Program is established for young ladies ranging in age from 6 to 16. It is a program in which the Princesses are mentored by local Miss Virginia contestants for the year of their service. The Princess is encouraged to join her mentor in as many appearances, volunteer opportunities and other events as possible. Virginia Princesses are present the week of the Miss Virginia pageant. The princesses will participate in the production as well as attend promotional events with their mentor. The main goal of the Virginia Princess Program is to enable young ladies to have better insight to The Miss Virginia Pageant and what the Miss America Program is all about.

 Goals:

Ø       Encourage younger, active involvement in the Miss Virginia Scholarship Pageant

Ø       Provide forum for personal growth.

Ø       Mentor using positive role models.

Ø       Have Fun!

 In Short:

The Princess Program is not an actual competition, but it is something that will allow the younger children to get involved with our Miss Hampton Roads on the Miss Virginia stage!  It is a wonderful program because it shows everyone; parents and the young ladies how everything operates. The Princess Program is great because after participating the girls will already know what will be expected of them in Roanoke if they do one day compete in the Miss Virginia Outstanding Preteen, Miss Virginia Outstanding Teen or Miss Virginia Pageants.  Plus it's a glamorous exciting experience culminating in a live television broadcast!

Winners of the Miss Hampton Roads Mini & Little Miss divisions have their entry fee to the Miss VA Princess Program as part of their prize package.
