Hi everyone!  I've had a busy couple of weeks. The most exciting thing was that my family adopted a baby bunny! He's all gray and we named him Jonas...after The Jonas Brothers band! I've been playing with him a lot and feeding him and my Mom is very proud of me for being responsible. I turned 6 years old on April 26th and had a tea party with my friends to celebrate. My birthday cake was even in the shape of a real teapot; it was so beautiful! At school, our baby chicks hatched from their eggs and are growing up quickly. We have to give them back to the farmer next week but it's been fun to take care of them. Another exciting thing is that just last night we got a phone call from a producer in New York that I am a "final pick" for a Williamsburg print ad. I haven't gotten it for sure yet, but I'll find out in a couple days. Keep your fingers crossed for me and I'll let you know what happened in my next blog. Well, this weekend is my dance recital on Saturday and Sunday and that will be a lot of fun because I'm in 4 numbers. I even get to do a special sister dance with my big sister Alison. Happy Mother's Day to my Mommy and all the other Mommies!

Happy Memorial Day! My family and I are staying at home this weekend, which doesn't happen very often. We're always on the go, most of the time visiting the Hampton Roads area! Tomorrow we'll go to a cookout at my grandparents house.

Well, I promised you an update on the modeling job...I got it! I went to Colonial Williamsburg and got to be in a pool scene at the Spa of Williamsburg with a pretend Mom and Dad. It was fun getting my hair, and a little makeup done. Then I got in the pool and got it all wet, but that was ok. I was supposed to get wet! There were a lot of people there and it was exciting. I was the only child and the rest were adults. I even got to have some fancy desserts in the beautiful Williamsburg Lodge restaurant. After I was all done, I got to swim for a while in the pool so it was a fun day.

Speaking of swimming, we all had a blast at the pool party at Miss Helen's house last Sunday. Elizabeth and Malissa and I were there with our families. Cassie and Reagan had other plans and couldn't make it but I'm sure we'll all get to go swimming together again over the summer. Definitely at Miss Virginia!!

Another update is that the bunny I got that we thought was a boy...is a girl! We had a vet visit last week and got the news. So Jonas is now Miley, and I don't think I have to tell you who she is named after! I got to participate in two really fun traditions at school last week. Field Day was Monday and the end of the year ice cream social was on Tuesday. Kindergarten is so cool and it's hard to believe it's almost over. Next time I write, it will be Miss Virginia month!

Summer is here! I passed kindergarten and will be a big first grader next year. The last week of school was busy with lots of fun activities. I had Camping Day, Beach Day, and a pizza and watermelon party! My sister Alison had a big week too. She graduated from Elementary School and got to go to a pool party and a dance party held just for the 5th graders. I was a little jealous but my Mom explained that I get to do a lot of things that she doesn't get to do and this was a special time just for her. I guess I understand...

I spent Father's Day weekend in VA Beach. The send off party for all of us was on Saturday at Miss Helen's house. We all got so many wonderful gifts...thank you so much! Miss Virginia week is going to be so cool and it will be especially awesome for me because it's my first time going to see it. I've always stayed at home with my Dad while my Mom and sister went, but this year we'll all be there together. So, after Miss Helen's party, Alison and I swam for a while with Jordan, then we headed over to my grandfather's house to spend the night with him for Father's Day. We had a lasagna dinner and went to bed early. I was tired after such a long day. On Sunday we played on the beach for a few hours and then enjoyed dinner outside on the deck with him. He made fresh crab cakes and coleslaw for the adults and mac and cheese and hot dogs for the kids. I think my Dad and my Pa-Pa had a very special day.

This past week has just been busy getting ready to leave for Roanoke. My Mom has been doing lots of shopping and packing and she says there is still lots to do. Yesterday, we got to spend some time with Jordan Forbes, Miss Greater Richmond. My Mom took her to run some errands and we ate lunch with her at Chick-Fil-A. That was fun. My sister Alison is going to be Jordan's Princess at Miss Virginia next week so I'm very excited we'll get to be Princesses together. We're still working on our purses for the purse-a-nality luncheon and I think they'll look so great. Mine is going to have a pampered pooch theme! It's going to be hot pink and black and I told my Mom I hope it doesn't sell b/c I want to keep it! Just kidding...I want it to sell to raise money for the scholarship program but it's going to be hard to give it up.

Well, this time next week I will be getting ready for the live televised finals of Miss Virginia!! I have three pretty white dresses and I'm so excited to be on that big girl stage with Elizabeth. Look for me when Elizabeth comes out in evening gown. I'll be handing her a flower. Please vote for her in the People's Choice poll to help make sure she gets into the Top 11 this year. I am so excited about everything! Miss Virginia...here I come!!
